Being well-prepared for death is one of the most compassionate pastoral gifts we can provide for our loved ones. This one day retreat and workshop hosted at St. John's will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to provide spiritual and practical resources to help us face the realities of death and dying together. Guest presenters will provide resources for how to document end-of-life healthcare declarations; how to make burial or cremation arrangements with a funeral service; how to plan the liturgy for a celebration of life and how to ensure our legal affairs are in order.
We will engage in conversations about our shared experiences of grief and loss and how to respond compassionately to loved ones and to one another as death approaches. RSVP (and please include any dietary restrictions) to the Rev. Craig Lemming at firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure there is enough food for the luncheon.
