You should do something everyday to make someones life better. It does not need to be something visible. When you get it right it will be something that you get no reward or recognition for. In the larger sense you are your brothers keeper.

It goes by many names; 'Pay it forward', 'Random acts of kindness', etc. It is something that is a duty as a Christian. With my limited understanding of them it is also the duty of a Muslim, or Buddhist, or...

Why is this? Because it works. A civil, orderly, and giving society works better than an uncivil, greedy one.
