In October, St. George's Episcopal Church is offering classes for adults interested either in being confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church. If you have been confirmed in a tradition with Apostolic Succession (i.e., Roman Catholic or Orthodox) you are received into the Episcopal Church. If you have not been confirmed by a bishop in Apostolic Succession, you are confirmed.

Saint Paul’s letters (Epistles) make up large portion of the New Testament. We read from his letters often at the Holy Eucharist. Who was Saint Paul? Who was he writing these letters to? How have his writings influenced Christian theology?

It is with tremendous pride that I can now say, after celebrating this afternoon, that I was the Senior Warden when St. James Episcopal Church on the Parkway in Minneapolis, and that I was there, when St. James recorded the first same-sex marriage in its 80 year history.
