The St. John’s Holy Apostles Farmer’s Market will officially return to the St. John’s parking lot starting June 6. Please help us host by going to our Signup Genius volunteer page. There, you can volunteer for a time slot or two on any of the Sundays throughout the growing season.
The Farmers Market is held in the church parking lot on the corner of Kent Street and Summit Avenue, on Sunday mornings, from 9:00 am to Noon.
Fields to Families
Donations to the program are collected at our farmers market during the summer and used to purchase produce from the farmers. This produce is then delivered to our neighborhood food shelf, Halle Q. Brown.
Last year we were able to donate 6,000 pounds of fresh food, feeding hundreds of families with healthy produce and supporting Hmong farmers from our companion parish, Holy Apostles. Donations can be made at the Farmers Market on Sunday mornings, from 9:00 am to Noon. Donations can also be sent to the Parish Office, marked for Fields to Families. No amount of money is too small, and every penny is used to buy food.
