Sunday, October 11, marked the opening of a five week emphasis on stewardship at St. Luke's Minneapolis using the theme 'God the Giver,' a program resource provided by The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS). Despite the competition of an unusually warm and sunny fall day, there were many in attendance.
Senior warden, Scott Smith, preached a dynamic sermon based on the gospel of the day, and three of the five music ensembles of St. Luke's presented magnificent offerings of music.
Since St. Luke's rector, Fr. Lee Domenick, came two years ago, St. Luke's has grown by an unprecedented 20% and attracted many new members from the Millennial generation. The theme 'God the Giver' couldn't be more timely.
Also during the service, Fr. Lee invited all to lay hands on those who were embarking the next day on a two week pilgrimage to Iona in Scotland.

Following the service, Fr. Lee continued his popular faith formation teaching series on Gifts Discernment.
Stewardship at St. Luke's will culminate in a festive Covenant Sunday celebration on November 8 at 10:00 am.
