Event Description

The Choir of St. Clement's continues their exploration of 18th-century music for choral Evensong this Sunday, March 1 at 4:30PM in the Sanctuary. This service will include canticles written by Benjamin Cooke, who was organist and choirmaster at Westminster Abbey for over 30 years. These works will provide a sense of the musical language and life of 18th-century England. For the anthem, the Choir will sing Gerald Finzi's large and beautiful anthem, "Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice," written just after World War II. Please come, and bring friends – childcare will be available in the Nursery! A festive reception will follow the service.
